We recently were invited to visit the intrepid with the Hell’s Kitchen Parents group on a beautiful Saturday morning. We arrived before gates open for the general public and were treated to a special tour and talk about the history of the museum. We also had the opportunity to see a show in the pop-up planetarium, a treat for all ages. Another highlight of our day aboard the historic ship was the visit to the space shuttle pavillion and the flight deck.
The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum is dedicated to the exhibition and interpretation of history, science and service as related to its home aboard the aircraft carrier Intrepid, a National Historic Landmark. As you explore the Museum you will be able to examine original artifacts, view historic video footage and explore interactive exhibits.
We definitely recommend a visit to the Intrepid if you are looking for a fun, educational event in Manhattan with City Babes of all ages!
